About the UC:Us group

UC: Us are a group of people in receipt of Universal Credit living in Northern Ireland. They first came together for the first time in June 2019 as part of a participatory research project looking at experiences of Universal Credit in Northern Ireland. Working closely with researchers - Ruth Patrick (University of York) and Mark Simpson (Ulster University) the group met up in a series of workshops to share their experiences of the new benefit, and to develop recommendations to improve the benefit in the future.
